Well, after eating tropical flakes, the fry seems to be pooping normal. Will keep an eye and see if they still dump white sausages if I don't feed them dried daphnia. If they still do, I'll have to convince dad to help me get the meds. Can't give up my money just yet (if filter crashes, I'll have way more fish dead).
Yeah, but what if it isn't a parasite? (like when Bee and Tzuppy had white poop just because I fed only dried daphnia). If I'd spend all my money on something, but it wasn't that, I'd end up having no backup plan at all.sorry to be negative, but parasites can kill them all just as well as a dead filter

He is now at the surface, looking for food. Not going to feed them until 8 pm, Chrome had a belly full while he was showing symptoms. He barely deflated now.
Poor fishy.I have to euthanise my older female cherry barb. She's stopped eating and is becoming really thin. I think she's going to die soon anyways as their lifespan is either 3-4 or 4-5 years and she's about 5 years. The problem is my older male and her are a mated pair and if I euthanize her he'll probably stop eating as well
Well, hope he'll be able to move on. Well, this wasn't long nor clear, it was short and opaque, like a piece of string. But after feeding them flakes, they just pooped pink / black. The fry at least, the male pooped black after the thread-like thing fell off.

No, not the Cherrys! Mine don't really "pair off" in fact the 3 males hang out w/ each other & the females hang out together for the most part. Kinda like Thankgiving when the men all watch Football in the living room, while the women hang out in the kitchen (where they belong)............
