Hes lovely!

Hey Lovelies!

Today i got some new corals for my reef! A frogspawn, fially, and and s shroom!

Edit. Ruskull, why do you say Hey Loverlies?

Hey Lovelies.
I'm sad, seems I lost Hoppy the pink fry.
This morning at 8 AM, I saw him sleeping next to the filter. I put food for everyone (powdered daphnia) and he didn't come to eat like the rest of the fry. I didn't think he had any problem though, thought it was too early to feed them.
12 PM: Hoppy is nowhere to be found. I looked under the bogwood, between the plants, nothing. Can't miss such a big fish... Last night he was hiding in the moss on the bogwood.
Oddly, he surpassed my other fry in size, even though he was the youngest. I doubt I'll ever see him again if he hasn't shown up this far.

EDIT: all I did yesterday was a 50% water change...

You added dechlorinator right? I only ask because I remember you asking about it recently :)

Yeah, four times since I had 4 water bottles. That was the only tiny fish that was not eating this morning. Others rushed for the daphnia dust. And right now they also ate bloodworms. Hoppy would never miss the bloodworms, so he's definitely gone. But it's so odd, this morning he was there, and at noon he was gone.

I figured you had done :) Test your water just in case :/

Sorry you've lost him :(
I'm still waiting on the ammonia test to finish, but the nitrite is showing 0.

EDIT: Nope, ammonia's 0 too. I cannot measure nitrate, but that big water change should have taken care of that anyway. Unless my nitrate difference was so big after it that it probably shocked Hoppy...

If one more fry disappears when they get to that size, I'll put the rest in a fry cage to observe just what the blazers is going on here. It's odd how so far, 2 of the big fry disappear after showing signs of lethargy.
Pinky had her tail hanging down, Hoppy slept next to the filter, having clamped fins and not going for the food. Both had the same color and were the biggest fry coincidentally.
If it is their size that tells when they'll die, then if I bet Sushi's next and it happens, isolating the rest might give me some clues as to what happens to them.

Sorry about Hoppy. I lost a Double Bar Platy once, he jumped out of the back of the tank. The tank has a cover too but there's that little opening in the back for the heater, filter, etc.

He'd have to be a ghost to jump through my lid... -.- And he didn't even look in any state to even jump, he was just sitting there with clamped fins, but that's how all my fish sleep usually, so I thought he was just taking some rest and didn't want to eat at that hour. Yet everyone else was already sucking the daphnia in...

Sushi isn't coming to the surface this time I gave food. Though he's pecking at the sand.

Hmm, I think I'm on to something here... Both my adult male swordie and Sushi are pooping something that looks like opaque white threads. And I mean opaque, not transparent. Could that be a parasite? It looks just like someone cut some white thread.
This describes it best.

Could this be the cause? What are the options for treatment in this case? I need several types listed, please. I may not be able to find certain brands here.

Yep sounds like a parasite to me :/ maybe came in with some of your new fish

I've never treated for them before so all I'd be doing is a google search so not much better than you can do lol. I hear good things about eSHa 2000 though.
