As the Father of a 10 year old that posts here, I'm kinda happy about the family friendly policy. Maybe they could make a
"mature area" where us adults can act immature?

It's pretty funny how some things have become offensive when they're just words though. And certain other things.
If it were after me, people would be going naked outside if they felt like it. (although I may not like seeing naked people, but hey, I don't quite understand when did that get censored and for what reason unless it has something to do with people unable to control their instincts...)

I don't often swear (and if I do, something extremely out of the ordinary has happened / has been posted or it was extremely stupid).
And when in pain, I rather hiss instead of swear. Again the extreme event (or very stupid event) has to happen for me to swear.
I even replace swear words with something similar sounding but funnier (such as freaking, shift etc...)
But then again, most of the time those are words not meant to insult anyone, in fact, most have lost all meaning to us and are used as fillers. Just like the "Uh" "Umm" "Hmm...", but using stuff that used to be offensive but no longer is used that way, or just naming certain acts or body parts. Which I find ridiculous but also a tick in some people.

No idea why the other version of "darn" is cut out either. Even the name of a certain religious figure who could walk over water has been censored here...

Hey Fintastic! It's my fault, my warped sense of humor doesn't translate well in posts on the internet..........I feel I can diss Brits because I'm a Brit by descent, Scottish to be exact. I'm also German & we're not known for our humor let's just say.

It's always a sad day when one of our fish dies, especially Gouramis since they're my favorite. What kind was he/she?

Hey Ruskull, no worries. I get the humour big time, but I guess there's a protocol the mods must follow. Sometimes it's unfortunate.
As for the rams, thanks for that, looks like I have one of each! I'm guessing pretty soon I'll only have the bolivian as the german blue isn't doing so well. The gourami was a sparkling or croaking. Incidently I bought three but one is a completely different colour. He/she is a very dark blue with red fins and it's tail is a stump. Looks like a mix of a few different fish.
Guppy time was fab this evening. I gorged on choc and had a sip of vino and lo and behold my clown plec put on a grand show. I haven't seen him/her in days.

actually i am not a fan of all the thread locking that goes on around here.... it's very authoritarian.. I started a that's what she said thread a few weeks ago, and it was high larr-ious, but because some mod "can't be doing with yank humour(sic)" my thread gets locked.. i'm not big on cencorshipments, as long as no swears were uttered, i say let's has a debate..





edit for changing what that mod wrote aboot me..

I'm inclined to agree on a lot of locked threads. They sometimes get good and then get locked.
A fine example is a personal favourite about a certain Molly and the preferred method of cooking. That one was classic!
