Yummy duck stir-fry for dinner washed down with glass vino. Watchin the tanks now as hubby watchin boring footie. Hugely entertained by my new clown plec as he shimmies around the wood. Should I be dropping algae wafers in at night for him even though he's gorging on the algae on the wood??

I'm off to a wedding tomorrow so I'll be getting dolled up and kissing the kids goodbye 'til Saturday.

Hey Lovelies!

Seems like the newborn fry in main tank were not fast enough. Bee made quick work of them... At least I have 4 fry in the net (saved the one Tzuppy was hiding, it's now in the cage).
But they're all... kind of shy. Or something. They're hiding under the cage's plastic frame.

I may has messed up.. I got a pregnant blue tail who is juss beautiful.. well i put her in the betta tank.. that way the betta can juss eat the fry as they pop out.. anyhoo, I may has induced shock.. I juss turned out the lights.. I going to hope for the best.. I may has juss learned a lesson..

Oh, this is the guppy who got into the sump twice..

You only need to put anything in for him every couple of days, maybe every second day after he's polished your tank till it gleams

Ahh yum, basically Chicken parmesan, but bechamel instead of red sauce. Sounds lovellyyyy today, especially the fries.

hey lovelies!

i think my mini cycle has finally finished as i have 0 nitrite! im glad i got rid of the livebearers now it must have "eased the load" on the filter for a while to give it chance to catch up.

it took 4 weeks guna do a full set of tests and a 50% to the bottom of the filter inlet pipe(i use the filter to help drain the water) tomorrow when i get home from work just to make sure im not tripping or going through a spike or something else.

Great news Staxx. Livebearers are pretty messy fish and a fairly big amount of bioload as well. Obviously having less fish helped you bacteria catch up. Keep up the good work.

I'm off to count Corys! I added three new guys to the five I already had & I want to make sure everyone is settling in.

i have a weird obsession with counting my fish. its HORRIBLE.

every time i look at the tank i count te fish in my head. i feel like rainman or something!


today is payday from work and i work in a the city centre literally 5 mins walk from a fish shop.. could be dangerious! i need food anyways and maybe a live food treat for my lovelies! so il pop in and see what they have.

last time i went in they had some stunning honey gourami i think it was a trio aswell.

My Honey G's are tough guys, so much that I had to separate them. Now the Honey G in my sand tank dominates the Bolivian Ram male.........

will they harass my danios or any tetras? im thinking of getting a good size shoal of tetra! maybe 20-25. after a trio of centre piece fish though
