After the truly unique experience of Ofsted, I decided to treat myself to some new fish and ended up coming home with a pair of kribs.
I've had them before and absolutely loved the colours and watching them breed, but they were in a tank that was to be honest overstocked and as you can imagine the kribs wanted quite a large volume as their territory - especially once they were breeding!
I now have the new ones in an 85l tank with 4 tetras, 3 sterbais, a small plec, 3 hatchets and two young angels. At the moment all is remarkably peaceful and the kribs have made the coconut shells their home. They look great sitting in the entrance, and I hope that the space in the shells will make the kribs feel secure, and hopefully breed.
The hatchets of course live at the top and the tetras + corries are peaceful. At the moment the angels seem to be happily co-existing with the kribs too (I was unsure how they would get on), but I presume I'll have to keep an eye on that combination as they grow. At 85l, the angels will of course outgrow the tank anyway.
