I can't believe people would keep fish like that in a tank that small. I'm new to fish keeping, but before I got my tank, I spent about a week researching everything I needed to know!!!!

I agree, it also shows that volume is not the only concern. That tank has a lot of water in it (225l, my 4ft's only 160l) but it is not suitable for many larger fish because of it's footprint.

Those "Barbs" look more like Red Chaleacus (sp?) to me. I've seen two of them up close before and these look similar though I don't think they are. Those also would get too large for that thing as well.
