Thanks for that William, I too was kinda wondering how this whole thing came to be. It's definitely the most helpful fish forum I've ever come across, and members here seem to give the most accurate answers you can get anywhere... it's a good thing I found this forum rather than some other one full of loonies back when I was just getting into the hobby!

I found this forum about 4 weeks after I started keeping fish - boy, was I lucky! This friendly and helpful forum has been an absolute godsend to me as a newbie fishkeeper and has really helped me and my fish settle into a completely addictive hobby. Yes.... you are all to blame for my obsession and bad case of MTS (cos you all helped me keep my fish alive - well mostly )

people are still trying to find the secret of making a board active. But the simple matter of it is that if you have kean members initially, some of which are always around and happy to answer questions, it builds from there. Its an ongoing circle of events.

What a great forum though, and nearly all of the members seem to be genuinly nice people. Always there to guide a newbie, and to help save a fish.

Glad to be a part of these forums, and as my post-count testities, its very easy to be very active!

I think it has a lot to do with how the boards are modded too and the direction it's steered in
I like the way things are run here (hey even though nothing is ever perfect) but this is my type of place

I have to admit........this forum is an addiction in itself let alone my actual fishies/babies!!! It keeps me sane! I can't believe it took me so long to find it!!!
