Tetra Ex1200 Help Please

Hi Guys,

New to this Forum.
Received my New Tetra EX1200 and it looks the bizzz I have a small problem with the hose adaptor unit with the Key it just fully turn to lock in place so that it can be folded back down to cover any help on this would be most helpful.

was the filter new?
is the filter leaking?
and could you give some pics of what you mean. I have a fair idea, but don't want to chase up blind alleys.

ps, leaky/faulty hose adaptors are very common on this filter. not ofen on new though.

Brand new got it today and not set up yet just tryig it all out just don't want to force the key around to lock it.

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean about forceing the key around? Do you mean the lever inbetween the tap adaptor?

Hi Alpen, welcome to the forum. The 'key' just spins around so it is the same way as the lever then push them both down.

I do be leave that you have one of these (EX1200), its brand new, any-way found the problem it was a nib of plastic on the one of the lugs which was stopping the key from turning to its locking position, the key was only turning half way around so it would not fold down. Anyway all is well now,how do you find EX 1200, it's the first time I've had an external filter,I'm still very very old school, UGF.

Ive got one as well, only "product" problem i had was the force causing the stop cap to be pushed off the end of the spraybar. I fixed that with a bit of silicon. The other problem was a 1 year old, not the ex1200.

I got a new head from tetra as the primer got stuck down after 24hr it decided to empty the contents of 350L marine tank on my wooden floor.....
