Tempted By A Oscar

I keep spotting this 1" Oscar in a lfs, hes beautiful, one of the black face with gold body and fins types....sort of raccoon looking lol, hes got loads of personality and knows how to turn on the charm

He has been there for a few weeks, they were treating him for white spot, he is only £3

Shall i go for it? I have a tank big enough, with adequate filtration etc, just going to have to rehome a lot of stock later on.

(i have kept Oscars before about ten years ago, and did enjoy the experience, but kept them on there own with a plec, not other tnak mates...i did try them with some blood parrots later on and it didnt work out to good)

If it was a case of him needing the tank to himself later on, i'd rather by a Red Devil/Midas from Trimar as i have always wanted to keep one...but then i like my current stocking to much so wouldn't want to do that anyway

yes!

they are gorgeous

mine is anyway , but do bear in mind what you know already.. they are a huge commitment,, well worth it in my opinion

Aww bless, thats a tough one

, i expect he`ll still be there in a few days, so take your time and think it over.. last thing you want to do is regret it later- not that i think that you would for one moment, but better safe than sorry eh
