no divider and the bettas just stay to them selves, hes added more fish he just brought a dwarf gourami male and 3 dalmation mollys and a black molly into this uncycled fish tank, its only a 6 gallon and the worst is that he got a baby Pangasius.

I warned him and told him what he could have and how he could stock it and told him about cycling but he refused to listen bye bye fishes.
Fish keeping isnt for him, when I told him what will happen, his response was ''So what, there just fish''
That kind of thing aggravates me so much.

Well I argued with him then showed him some videos on youtube of bettas fighting so I took one off them of him and put it into my cycled 5gallon heated and filtered tank, I took the gourami and put it into my 20 gallon (not the one with the other dwarf) Hes taking all the other fish back to the lfs including the betta, I finally convinced him and Ive got him to go through with the fishless cycle.

Thank goodness. 2 male bettas and a male gourami in one tank....oh the disaster that could have been!

When there blatantly males, what is the difference between a male and female betta?

Yes, the males have quite a bit more finnage, with the exception of Dragaonscales and plakets. I don't know much about either so I am unsure how to tell the difference beween males and females. I know with veiltails, halfmoons, doubletail halfmoons, and crowntails, males have huge fins compared to females. The little guy in my signature is a male Crowntail
