Definitely not cruel! I keep mollies in with my Angle Fish just for the reason that it bring out good behaviour in the Angel Fish, Hunting the fry! Its the same as feeding any live food to fish!

Very true, How come the mollies didnt touch the fry but the danios were all over it?

Some fish are just more assertive to live foods than others, totally normal so try not to feel bad about it.

i used to do this too, its amazing how non fish people are sad when you tell them, awww them little baby fishies, or in other words live food for bigger fish,
