Tankmates For Blue Acara's

Just stocking up my new tank, and got 2 blue acara's today along with a golden nugget pleco. Any suggestions for good tankmates?
Really liking cichlids but just a bit lost as to which ones to get, maybe a couple of rainbows?!

Rainbows would be good, severum, geophagus, firemouth, elliotti, so many to choose from, just depends on your tank size.

I've got a Vision 180, but might think of upgrading in a year or so if the fish get a bit big for the tank. Thinking a couple of rainbows in there would be quite nice, am I pretty much limited to cichlids as soon as you get a few in a tank?

What filtration do you have on that tank? If it is standard 600lph juwel then I would say you've hit the filtration limit already.

I've got an Eheim pro 3 2075, so filtration isn't really an issue. Only reason I've got one this big is because it was a bargain!

Just got 4 rainbows in there as well and all seems good. Would a Jack Dempsey be alright in the tank, or possibly a bit aggressive for the acara's and rainbows?

i think the JD might be
a bit on the aggressive side
you could put some jade eye cichlids
would go nice

Rainbows would be good, depending on the size of your tank you could even get some Angels
