I have a 6.6 gallon aquarium with one female betta I think might have ich. I want to treat the tank for ich but I have carbon filter sponges. It’s a small filter with spaces for two sponges so yesterday I went to buy new sponges and replaced one sponge how soon can I replace the other?

You can treat the ich by raising the temperature to 30 deg C and leaving it there for 2 weeks. This means you don't need to remove the carbon as no medication is involved.

As for changing the carbon sponges, are you intending to replace them with more carbon sponges or plain sponges? Plain sponges would be better. I would wait till the heat treatment is finished and the heater turned back down, then replace one carbon sponge. 4 to 6 weeks later, replace the other.
