I dont know if people have experienced this - my tank was fine today but today i ran abasic sponges(the green scrubing side) over the side of the inside of my tank lightly to remove any algie and it was fine but i just checked back and there are massive scratches to the inside of my tank - some of which i feel are quite deep

can a basic sponge do this and if so, is there a way of repairing these?

there must have been some grit in the sponge to cause the scratching,

dont know about the removal, hopefully some1 else will :good:

Either that or its a plastic tank....that would have scratched with the green sponge.

you could try and get some glass strips, but there more for a crack in a tank.
the only posable way to fix it compleatly is to sue melted glass to fill the scratches but you need to be highly skilled to do this, and you would have to empty the tank compleatly.

sorrys if this was no help

nope not true

if they are very light you could buff them out with a glass polish or if they are deep you can fill them in with silicone. There was a topic on this forum a couple of months back where some one did it :good:
