In the past year, swordtails have become un-avalible in our local Petsmart and Petco. I would assume the cost has gone up for them. At the auction I was at on saturday, there weren't many, and they were selling extremely well. So, I picked up a 3 at a lfs 2 hours from my house. 1m (Red velvet)/ 1f (Red velvet), 1f (Pineapple). The pics aren that great of quality (sorry, I will have new ones as the week progresses).

Red Velvet's:

Hope you guys enjoy!

thats very interestring to hear. we have many swordtails at my petco though at petsmart they only have velvets and maybe only 5-7
but who knows how many are breeding in the back.

Sailfin rock's! The owner is really nice. The lady who helped me knew quite a bit about fish. I was impressed to see they carry O.S.I. food. It's my favorite brand out there. Great quality stuff. You should look in the African section and see my post kribensis. I got some very nice ones from there!

Unfortunately, I lost the Red female. She ate the first day, but didn't eat today. I found her when I came home from school dead, flaoting at the top with only have of her scales. Poor thing. I am unsure as to what her cause of death was.

This is not good. I believe there is a extrenal parasite affecting the swordtails. It's a nasty one at that. I most likely will lose the red male.
