Suggestions For A Livebearer?

Pike cost a load to maintain and not a fish to start with.

Ameca splendens and Xenotoa eiseni would be the easiest fish to find i would think.

But you will have to find people who keep's them first, shop fish are on the lists but usually poor quality, Fish auctions are good places, but I have no idea where u are so can t help their either.

I Live in illinois and my favorite lfs carries them at 4 inches for 7 dollars and they are weened on to flake!!!!! I am not a beginner but just decieded to go with livebearers. I have been with cichlids for over a year and a half!

Belonesox on Flake food!!!!!!! their be dead in a month!!!!

Read an article i did nearly 10 years ago which has been published in a few magazines
http://www.aquaworldnet.com/awmag/beloen.htm

Well get a load of talipia and breed as many as u can as a Pair of pike would eat 20-30 half inch fry a week to get them into breeding condition.
Then you need the small fry to feed the pike fry

They can produce 100 fry every month and the females feeding trigger is turned off while birthing so no fry are eaten for 48 hours or so.
The fry need live food as u know from reading my article.

Helter

True, but that dosent mean that I am going to feed them just flake. The lfs said that their supplier feed the adults and new born babies flake.
