Successful Spawning

Hi karigupi :)

Dad is just lovely. I can't wait to see their mother too. Best of luck with them. :D

They are going to be some good looking Bettas, The Dad has some nice coloring.

Thanks Gill, I cant wait till they start to colour up.

The fry are 8 days old today & doing well. Cleaned the bottom of the tank & a quick water change this morning & am pleased to say that I seem to still have more than 100 fry :hyper: lol

They are growing well, feeding on Hikari First Bites, Golden Pearl Crumb & microworms. I used a little liquifry in the first week as well, just an occassional drop into the moss, just in case.

I've now added a small golden apple snail to help keep the bottom clean. I will try to get some pics over this week, but they are still a bit too small for my camera to cope with.

Congrats KariGupi,

I don't understand how I missed this.

Thats one good looking male, come on lets see mummy  Then we can imagine what the fry are going to turn
out like

I'm just glad that my spawn has turned out to be a small one.

So where are the fry pictures Karigupi? The little guys should be about a week or a little more old by now and actually starting to resemble small fish instead of tadpoles.

Here's a long awaited pic of mum, sorry, its really bad, my camera is struggling today, also, please excuse the ripped fins, I have a tank mate issue which I'll update on my other post. She is really pretty half bronze, half dark burgandy super delta.

Mom and Dad are both gorgeous! You are going to have some very impressive babies from this spawn :D The babies are adorable and I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Quick update this morning after a quick tank clean, I remembered to take some pics, so here are the fry at about 10 days old, their tummies are all full of banana worm

the keen eyed of you may notice the little baby shrimp in there as well, he must have hitchhiked in on the java moss.

Nice going, and nice pictures too. I love it whenever I have fry in my tanks. Right now I have a small bare bottomed tank with some rainbow cichlid fry about that same age in it.
