Stupid Filter / Tank!

Well today i thought i'd try the new range of filters Maidenhead aquatics have in , however they use like a u shape pipe going into the aquarium , one end is the pipe going to the inlet outlet and the other into the tank, however the u shape is hard plastic so isnt flexible. The tank i have has like a few inches of glass support around the tank and the u shape plastic would not go over it. If this makes any sense lol?

Anyhow the filter its self is alright quality but the hosing is a nightmare! just isnt flexible at all , i ran it under hot water like i did on one the old eheims but still hardly any

Rant over! if anyones thinking of buying one ofthe maidenhead aquatics filters dont bother if you have the braces around youre tank as it wont fit!

Going to take it back and get something else.

Well i've managed after like many hours of playing around with the pipes and taking my fx5 out and moving that maneged to get it hooked up but cant get the #41#### thing going , think its the piping as it wont straigthen out theres quite a few curves in it. Don;'t want to go cutting the pipes or out as i deffo wont be able to take it back then a good ol' 1 and half drive back there lol nvm

Turn over rate is higher than the fx5 well thats if you can get it working lol

take it back. And replace it

Or.

Talk to them mafia style. then make them give you our money back + a better filter

They don;t have any better there! going to give them a ring tomorrow see if they willgive money back if they do i'll go to another shop and get the eheim pro 2078 or a smaller wet dry filter, the filter doesnt need to be awsome as the fx5 is the main filter just want one that works properly!

Ahaahah i thinks i got summot better then that with my new tank! will do a journal tomorrow if i collect it

Took it back today and got a refund , picked up a juvi JD when i was there, looks pretty and my oscar seems to swim with it instead of attacking it which is good

Going to order from charterhouse aquatics over the next couple of days a new filter.
