Strange Behaviour

Yes mate you have a Female Red Dragon ZZ Flowerhorn and a what looks like a male Flowerhorn/red texas attempt, deffo not a Texas, it dont look liek one either, i'm guessing its a cross between a Texas and a Red Dragon or Blood Parrot or a Red Head Vieja.

thanks i've searched them all and i think it very well may have all of them in it,if the texas is a male and flower horn is female what are the chances they will do the danc with no pants,so to speak ? thanks

Looking at the colour and that huge dorsal fin reminds me of a chocolat cichlid a little, there are so many things it could be crossed with, as for sex the black belly and anal fin, is that normal or has that darkened recently? Whatever the cross its an absolutely stunning looking fish and I am insanely jealous!!

thanks, I've not seen him be aggressive yet,so the flowerhorn might be trouble in while. The gold speckles are what draws me in. I've entered him in for the fish of the month so fingers crossed, but what is the chance he's going to breed with the flowerhorn ? also it has gone darker but not considerably,if i found another of him but a female and bread them how much would you rekon they would bring in ? i have fancied a decent breeding program i was thinking bettas but if these will bring in enough to cover the cost of the setup and food then i might consider these.

It could be infertile, if its male tho it will deffo try and breed with the Flowerhorn at some point, but they do tend to wife beat so you may need a separator.

thanks,im thinking of getting rid of the flowerhorn, they went on a slight rampage together last night the spanner and trutles coped for it the most.
