Stocking Suggestions

So I am planning on getting new tank. I will probably be getting 50-55 gallon tank most. The substrate will be sand.
I would appreciate help stocking.

What I'm interested in:
Corydoras
Some kind of rainbow fish
I LOVE GOBIES
Brightly colored fish
Oddballs
Either plecos or otos

Fish I'm thinking about:
Agassizi Corydoras (x10)
Dwarf Honey Sunset Gourami (x3)
Peacock Goby (x6)
Blue Cobalt Goby (x2)
Silver Hatchet Fish (x10)
Bolivian Ram (x4)
Gertrudae rainbow (x10)
Blue Tetra (Knodus Borki) (x10)


Plants I'm thinking about:
Jungle Val
Java Moss

Haha. Kinda, I guess. I'm gonna have 2 caves under it, and put another rock over them and put sand on it to make another level. I'm adding that thing to it to make it look nicer.

Hi we need to work out the tank size first 50-100 gallons is a big difference. Also with the schooling fish always keep more than 5 personally I would go for less schools but more fish per school The only other thing I would say is be careful with temperatures for those fish its a widespread list you have there and you have ideal temps ranging from low to high and also flow needs from low to high. Perfect example in this tank is the Hillstream loaches which need lower temperatures and high flow where as the Sterbai Cories do better in mid to high temps and the Gourami need low flow. So I would leave the Loaches out and go for a different species of Cory to go with the other fish.

Only other thing is not sure how easy it is to find those Australian Gobies so might be worth considering - also are these very predatory as I can find little info on them and you have some small species of rainbows in that tank that could end up as food if they are?

But it is a nice list of fish so just need to decide on a tank size and we can work on final numbers

I'm probably gonna get a 50 or 55 gallon tank. I lowed down the number or species and increased the number of the remaining ones. I want maybe a few more species though, so any suggestions?

Your stocking sounds ok to me!

My only suggestions would be:

-Up the 8 rainbows to 12, they will look better, they are seriously diddy rainbows, even fully grown!

-Gobies... Rhinogobius Wui (dwarf dragon goby?) or Stiphodon Aureopurpureus(sp)(blue cobalt goby)... stick to 1 pair and they will be happy as larry

-Any plant thats varigated is unlikely to be a true aquatic and is most likely a complete waste of time.... sorry!

Sweet. Upped it, the Blue Cobalt Goby is gorgeous so I want that. And thanks about the tip.

I am an American Cichlid fan so I would always suggest that some of these can feature in the tank In a tank with so many groups why not add an other one, Cupid Cichlids are a great little fish and do well kept in groups of 4 or 5

No as Blue/Gold Rams need high temperatures - but Bolivian Rams would be good Also if your after goldeny dwarf cichlids Nannacara Anomala might work or Apistogramma Panduro, the females are stunning!

I decided to only have 1 shoal of Corys, so I am looking for another shoaling fish to fill its spot. An suggestions?

Maybe some Pencil Fish or Hatchet Fish for the upper levels? What about a group of Spotted Headstanders?

Oooooooooo. Like, 10 Marbled Hatchets would look marvelous. Maybe a small school of Neon Blue Tux Guppy too?
