Hi. Currently i have a 4ft x 2ft x 1.5ft and a 3ft x 1.5ft x 1ft, however i want to upgrade the 3ft for a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft. I have some compatability issues with my fish at present and was wondering if someone could advise me on how best to split the fish. At the moment the fish i have is African knife fish, black ghost knife fish, polypterus, senegal birchir, 2x parrots, red spotted severum, 3 common plecos, 3 corrydoras, 1 gold gourami, 1 rainbow fish, 1 silver dollar, 4 kribensis, 3 silver sharks, 1 angel fish and 1 apistogramma agazzi.

My thoughts were

Tank 1 - 6ft

3 x silver sharks
1 x silver dollar
2 x common plec
3 x cory
1 x black ghost knife fish
1 x polypterus
2 x parrots
1 x red spotted severum
1 x angel fish

Tank 2 - 4ft

4 x kribensis
1 x african knife fish
1 x senegal birchir
1 x common plec
1 x gold gourami
1 x rainbow fish
1 x apistogramma

Would this work or is there a better way. I know the silver dollar and the rainbow fish are supposed to be is schools but their pals died and the lfs say that now the silver dollar is bigger it would upset him to add more and he might kill them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

a polypterus is a bichir? so do you have 2 bichirs?

I would stick both bichirs in the 6ft and then move the corys to the 4ft, (adult bichirs/polypterus may try to eat the coys)

Tank 1 - 6ft

3 x silver sharks
1 x silver dollar
2 x common plec
1 x black ghost knife fish
2 x polypterus/ senegal birchir
2 x parrots
1 x red spotted severum
1 x angel fish

Tank 2 - 4ft

4 x kribensis
1 x african knife fish
3 x cory
1 x common plec

Yes sorry we have two birchirs then. I really like your suggestion, thankyou. I really like the birchirs so would be nice if they were together
