Stocking Ideas For A 7 Ft Tank

Have just ordered a new tank 7ft long 2 ft high and 2.5 ft wide . I was originally planning on 2 reticulated rays and then working from there with fish that are compatible . I was in maidenhead aquatics in cambridge yesterday and they had a big old world cichlid tank with malawis and tanganyikas in it . Now im thinking of maybe going that way instead . Has anyone got any advice on this type of setup .
Also has anyone used the all pond filters with built in uv , i was considering using 2 on this tank .
