Stocking a 135 Gallon Aquarium

By the way, make sure your Bettas don't have long and big fins which other fish can nip their fins and kill them.

Are you from Jakarta or Sumatera?

I'm not sure where we are with this thread. First, Bettas (male) are solitary fish, not community fish, and should always be in their own tank (one Betta alone). Second, what is the GH of your source (tap) water? It is much easier to use the available water and select fish suited to live in those parameters than it is to be mixing quantities of special water for every weekly water change. My GH and KH is zero, and I have tanks of fish that are suited to such water. And, what fish are you considering?

(None of those, I'm from Surabaya.)

When I was trying to problem solve, I did consider having my Bettas share a 50g tank with a shark, but I decided against that after much research and am going with a different plan for the sharks. Rest assured, none of my Bettas have any permanent tank mates and have their own 10g / 15g tanks. Though to preface, I did try put Cherry Shrimp with Puyo but he ate them all and have not tried again since. I moved the sharks to quarantine tanks for now (10g). Two of them will move to the pond when they're a tiny bit bigger and one of them is moving to the 135g tank as soon as it's been set up and cycled through.

As for what fish I'm considering, I'm thinking about maybe Rainbowfish, Daimos, or bigger tetras, but my test kit has not arrived quite yet so I can't determine the best fish for the setup and water. For now, the only thing I have to go off of atm are any fish that are compatible with a single rainbow shark in a 135g tank.
