I was think about have 3 platy, 3 molly, and a bunch of ghost shrimp. Does that seem good and i also have a question out of curiousody. Can marbles be used as a substrate? Thanks

Mollies really need at least a 20 gallon, I've seen some that are over 3 inches! I suggest 4 male platies, 4 ghost shrimp, and a dwarf gourami. Marbles should be a fine substrate, but if they're too big they could leave gaps for fish to get stuck in.

Marbles are an ideal substrate for things like breeding zebra danios because it keeps them from eating the eggs. In common livebearers like mollies and platies, it also gives the fry a place to hide between the marbles.
Your total stock level looks a bit too high to me, at least until you get accustomed to frequent large water changes as a routine chore. We all start off with the best intentions but water changes are often one of the first places that people cut back a bit.
