Help with equipment

" they should do OK" comment has me a little nervous, as above I have a RO unit would it be worth using that, tbh I would like this tank to be lower maintenance but not at the cost of the fish...as for kits, yeah the chain pet store here is expensive but the bundle I mentioned I thought was a reasonable price but someone posted it wasn't? so not sure.

Certainly green neon tetra would not object to ro water and i keep mine in straight ro water... if they are wild caught i would say they almost require ro water if they are tank raised it is a bit more iffy - the issue is that at very low ph which you get with plain ro water the bacteria change and a lot of tank raised fishes have more issues (in my limited experience) dealing with low ph bacteria.

OK that helps, when I source the fish I can check if wild or bred, least now if I do use tap water I can stop thinking its a downgrade, if RO has issues too.
