Shrimp safe plants that can be emergent in small 24 litre tank

As above, I am trying to find a shrimp safe plant that I can put the roots into a small plant pot hooked onto the top of the tank, but that I can grow the leaves as an emergent plant. The tank is quite small, and the gaps at the side of the lid clear lid on the top are only 3cm wide. Also I have an extendable LED light that the extendable metal struts sit on the sides of the tank.

Can anyone advise please?

see the pothos in a tank thread, for a great start… BTW… pretty much any plant you put in, to grow out of a tank will be shrimp safe… my 4 - 10 gallon tanks are my shrimp tanks, and all have terrestrial plants growing out of them…

Pothus in tank

I have been seeing some people putting their pothus house plants in the top of their tanks saying that it also does helps eat up ammonia. Before doing this I wanted too know if I should add them cause I have a few cutting from my larger plants that would also benefit from the extra nutrients...

I have seen notices on some anubias being sold saying they are nit shrimp safe?? I have attached two to a small piece of wood that I have in there at the moment ? Anyone know if this is a problem from the roots, leaves or both??

I have Anubias bonsai, it's a dwarf species of anubias. It's in my shrimp tank and it doesn't affect them.

Is it possible that the anubias you've seen saying not shrimp safe have been treated with snail killing chemicals rather than something about the plants themselves?

some small species of syngonium could be good, such as "pixie" or "mini pixie", however anything growing emersed would have to root down into some sort of substrate to continue growing, it will eventually get weak over time if not fertilized well.
