Stock My 5 Gallon?

Here's the story.

I've got a 5 gallon tank, which I absolutely love. It has been home to bettas in the past (as a divided tank for 2 males). Both males have passed away in the last two months. One due to an accident, and the other due to natural causes.

This tank now sits empty in my room... plants and divider still intact, a couple of female bettas keeping my filters cycled.

The question now is... What do I put in it?!

I'd rather not have more male bettas... Chomp and Nyx were my babies, and it's way too soon to introduce more males into my life.
I think dwarf puffers are adorable, but I don't think I'm quite ready to own one.
I think dwarf frogs are kind of weird... and really would rather not have one.

The divider is easily removed, and I thought about making a mini-community, but the thing is, I've never stocked a tank this small before.
The filters (there are 2 of them) are rated for 3 gallons each, and keep a steady current in the tank (Red Sea Nano Filters).

Any suggestions as to what I could stock in this tank?

You could do a shoal of tiny fish like celestial pearl danio? And maybe a few cherry shrimp? Or some tiny rasboras, or norman lampeyes. If you didn't want a small shoal maybe a trio of sparkling gourami. They would be the options I would look into. I don't think there's loads you can do with a tank that size though.

I started a Cherry Shrimp colony in my 5 gallon. If I were to add any fish it would just be small tetras (like neons).

Endler's and microrasboras are the way to go LFS currently have about 20 mosquito rasboras in, and they look great

+1 to the shoal of small fish and all the suggetions above are spot on

I have 3 Sparklers in my 5 gal!

If I'd had easier access though I would have got a shoal of Galaxies. Or Emerald Rasboras.
