Starting Again Biorb 30

:sly:
I've decided to start again with my tank. I have lost a lot of fish so today I took my survivors back to the fish shop  to stop them dying.
I'm going to clean out my tank and basically start again from the day I took it all out of the box. Can anyone recommend what water testing kit I should buy? And suggest some fish I could put in when the tanks ready and I'll start researching in depth.

Also, I'm not 100% on the difference, but could I set up a marine tank rather than tropical in a BiOrb, and could someone tell me the difference?

Thanks
i would not be tempted to keep salt water fish in this tank. A few danios and gouramis are pretty, hardy and easy to keep happy :hey:

gourami - hardy?

ok not as hardy as danios but easyer than a tang.

I've said this many times here, but for what they cost, the BiOrbs give you very little for the money. One thing they can't give your fish is decent swimming space - something the majority of fish need. And, don't forget, most fish are happier in groups of at least 5/6, which cuts down your choice of fish in a BiOrb even further. I really wouldn't put anything other than a Betta in one. Even a 12'' square cube tank would be better, as at least you could use a small external filter on it, enabling you to stock a slightly larger group of fish if you wanted.
