I'm just looking for equipment to kit out our new breeding setup - and I'm on heaters atm.

I've just found some Aqua One Stainless Steel heaters - obviously I know the ceramic ones are best but I'm on somewhat of a budget - are these okay?
To be honest, I've had enough of the glass heaters - they seem to crack very easily, are not very accurate or reliable and occasionally try to boil tanks.

Anyone got a stainless heater from Aqua One that can let me know whether they're any good?

Hiya,
Never come across a stainless steel heater

If you want pretty accurate and 99.9% bulletproof heater then checkout the rena smart heaters, they are like a resin solid heater with a hole through them with a lower guard that's a very tight clip-on/off

(off i go to search for stainless heaters :) )

Thanks for your reply - unfortunately I can't afford the Rena heaters for all of my tanks (will be 6 x 200W, 3 x 150W and 3 x 100W, not to mention probably 3/4 x 300W for the 10ft) ... consequently, I'm looking to spend about a tenner on each heater really - not too much more.

Second hand? I know you're trying to keep costs down, but budgeting £10 per heater is very unrealistic.
