Sri Lanka Tank

i am in the process of setting up a tank dedicated to endemic fish of sri lanka.

tank is 5x2x2,with large bogwood roots and black sand substrate ,dim lighting and low water movement and some sort of overhanging vegetation for shading ideas??.

i currently have a group of 20 black ruby barbs and plan to add a group of fire rasbora and cherry barbs

i would like bottom dwelling fish but am really struggling to find any edemic to sri lanka, any ideas???

A group of Banded Mountain Loach? I think that they are great.

thanks EW good shout,only problem i see is that they prefer a hillstream type setup with faster water flow,could have a nice little group of these.

hmmmm according to the wwf there are only 26 fish species which are endemic to sri lanka, most of which are under threat,i may have to pick a native species of bottom dweller
