Split Dorsal Fin

I JUST BOUGHT A RED TIP SHARK AND ITS DORSAL FIN SPLIT DURING THE TRIP HOME. HOW LONG SHOULD IT TAKE TO HEAL? THANX?

not too long, i have a slight aggression currently (in process of selling 2) and my sharks get them frequently, just keep ur eye on it, nothin overly serious to worry about there.

sorry what is a red tip shark? but that said it should take no time. it may have been torn as the fish was netted as the shop. these things happen in nature, it will be fine.

red tip i took as meaning either rtbs or rainbow/ruby shark (assuming more likely rainbow) but either way the same advice applies.

Will fins etc grow back if they get nipped off a fish or just heal and stay the same?

never had them come right off fully,, had one shark i took from a friend cuz it was severly injured,, had practically no tail or fins, they grew back..
