i live in Australia so i see them all the time.
im always saving huntsmans from Mum when they are in the house 'cause she kills them
i remember she killed on once and threw it outside and my dog (hes a maltese) went outside soon after. he came back inside with dirt all round his mouth. i thought that he had maybe eaten the spider. so i went outside to check if it was still there and it was gone![]()
i also remember a while back Dad was digging a trench in the backyard for a drain pipe and he found at least 10 trapdoor spiders and put them each in a jar. when he had finished the trench he put them back in the ground!
picture of a trapdoor. very similar to the Sydney Funnel Web

and the other day i was doing a water change on my tank and went outside when i had finished to hose one of the buckets down. i turned the hose on and a little black and brown spider, about half a centimetre long fell off the end of the hose and into the bucket which had started filling with water. i felt so bad. he was alright though and lived which was good lol

the only thing i really hate about spiders is their webs and when you walk into them. i cant stand it!

There is no scientific evidence that the daddy long leg spider is the most venomous in the world, it is true that their fangs cannot pierce human skin which means that the venom has never been properly researched. These spiders often eat other spiders (inluding ones that are dangerous to humans) but that does not mean they are more venomous than these spiders, just that they are adept at killing them. Crane flies are often called daddy long legs too, these are not venomous at all. It is I'm afraid an urban myth (along the lines of a fish only grows to the size of its tank).
