It is amazing. We've just had Netty and Bronzecat over taking some pictures, they got some great ones that you will love. One has demon eyes.. bright red.. ehehe.

Rather shocked though, that in the few hours I was downstairs this evening, a film formed on the water surface - as quickly as that! So while they were here playing with the gecko I set up the filter I got from Daz and have put that in. It's clearing the tank now but my god I was horrified. And fancy it happening just as I have guests over to show off my lovely babies.. argh! lol

make sure you add some mature filter media to the filter i wrap mine around with elastic bands

The first is the original pic and the second is the same pic but zoomed in on one of the fry I'm sure she's got satan in there too.....one of them has the most amazing evil red eyes

But omg look at that awful film! It has completely cleared now though, thank god! Wish I had noticed it before you guys came round lol

They've come out pretty good haven't they No idea where that film came from....don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.....you mucky mummy Just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse and in a few days time you can start syphoning and that should help.....along with the filter that's now running!!

Yep, it's all gone now, clear as anything!

The pics are really fab, the detail is incredible!

Oh yes, for with your next spawn you'll have to take loads and we'll use them on your website! I really am very grateful for the pictures, they are fantastic to see! Great to compare with some in maybe a few weeks to see the body changes.

Netty what kind of camera do you have that takes such awesome pictures? Im in the market for a new camera since mine had an unfortunate encounter with my 15gal tank, lol.

Maddie, what kind of filter are you using? Im curious to know what kind of filter I should have set up in the spawn tank that wont suck up the little ones. Would a sponge filter work?

Hiya Amberlynn....it's a Canon EOS 1000d with a 100mm macro lens. We've not had it long so are still getting used to it but when it goes right we get some great pics.

Maddie has a sponge filter in which we also use for most of our tanks and no risk of babies being sucked in

Yep the little sponge filter is working a treat, dead happy with it. Can't wait to get home later to have another go at counting my little babies hehe

Edited to say home now whoo! Great to see the little babies. They have really grown in the last two days, much easier to see and their tails no longer look like just a small hair, they now look like fairly good sized hairs.. lol

The babblenest that Teqs had made is now pretty much gone and so there are many more babies visible now. With the help of pictures and three people looking/counting, we came up to about 80, obviously give or take a few.
