Some in mysterious way one of my marimo moss balls teleported into the laundry. It went through both the washer and dryer. It is intact but dry. I put it in a cup of water as soon as I found it. I doubt it will survive but what are your opinions?

I have no idea! It just appeared in the clean laundry nice and round, but dryed out.

You might not want to put that with fish before you give it a through wash to get rid of chemicals from the washing machine..You have probably already thought of that but just wanted to make sure :good:
Definitely:)

Alright, relax my friend, moss balls are actually algae, so washing detergent and soap may not hurt it so it may survive depending on how hot and long you dried it for. I have never had this happen so I am making a SWAG and think it will make it. :good:

I was actually kind of thinking the opposite lol. Moss I know can dry out and still live, but algae is more likely to die when not wet. Who knows

So I'm 99% sure it's dead. I'm still flabbergasted. How in the world did it end up in the laundry??? I'll probably never know

I know right, such an understanding moss ball. :)

The seller I bought from sent me an extra so I still have the amount I played for
