lol yep, when you have hundreds of tiny mouths to feed, food can be like a lesser degree of gas (dont drive yet but i know the prices)

I asked at one of the lfs around here and got told they're not really interested in buying any more livebearers, but if someone can breed tetras, now that might be different....

dont know about the fish stores around anyone else, but the ones around me are quite small. the main reason they wont pay for fish is there is no room for them (all tanks being used). also there's the chance of disease, and chance of fish not selling. and they probably realize you might just get fed up, and give them the fish

as for guppies, those are one of those fish that are hard to get rid of, atleast around here
