Snails?

snails will eat any excess food that is in the tank. A small number of them isn't normaly a problem but large numbers can quickly run out of food and then they start on the plants.
If you are trying to breed fish then you don't want snails because they will eat fish eggs.

no im not planning on breeding my tanks still cycling if i find another i will keep it :good:
 
They probably came in on plants. Snail eggs are often laid on plant leaves and can take a few weeks to hatch. Then one day you have tiny little snails everywhere.
