I think these snails multiply by wind pollination..... I absolutely scrubbed one of my ponds.... left it out in the sun for a week.... refilled and stocked it with Bronze and Albino corries.....
Today, I had a close look, and the tank (pond) is infested with snails.... the few plants I put in there comes from tanks that I know is snail free..... so where do these snails come from if it is not wind pollination..... I honestly do not know!!!
