Snails And Sand?

Do they mix? I mean i had your rpetty bog standard snail and everytime I see one which is rare due to my loaches appetite. They seem to be struggling to move on my sand which is play sand. I was going to get some larger more exotic snails but will they get on with the sand? The loaches should leave them alone as their tiny zebra ones.

Most snails shouldn't have any trouble with sand.

However, even zebras will go for big snails. I have a friend kept an apple snail pushing 2 inches accross with zebra loaches, and they took chunks out of the snails foot. Took them a couple months to finally kill it, but they kept trying.
