Snails... And An Upside Down Fish

I have an infestation of snails!! they just keep coming back!! how can i get rid of them all? is there any fish that get rid of them??
Also, my dalmation mollie keeps going upside down! he has his nose on the stones and his tail in the air... what does this mean?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Smash the snails against the glass to kill them. If you are being overrun by snails then you are overfeeding.

It's not good when they turn up like that. Try reposting this in the emergency section.

1) cut down on feeding
2) when you see any pic them out
3) get a fish that will eat them/ invert:

clown loach
assasin snail
most loaches, botia loach, dwarf chain loach

4) you can get an anti snail chemical to go in the tank

Do not get a clown loach unless you have a 300L tank or more please as they grow huge

and all snail chemicals contain copper so will kill shrimp

Not to mention it will likely cause an ammonia spike from all the dead snails.

Assassin snails will do the job, they eat 1 snail per day(approx), and produce low Ammonia (Apparently)

i have a cherry barb that has taken to eating my snails...i couldn't believe it when i saw it, he was ripping at on the same way Botia do.

I don't know how efficient they would be..but many botia are expensive and get kinda big and they should be in groups..so they are actually a pretty demanding solution...i don't know if i just have a weird cherry barb, as no one else has ever mentioned barbs eating snails..but i had like 6 snails in my tank...and now i can't find one.

anybody else hear of cherry barbs eating snails?
