Hi,
im fairly new to the forums
but straight to the point ...

planning on getting a 75 gallon
keeping a couple of oddball (possibly dats and a bichir)
i dont want it to be a heavily stocked planted tank

so ye i was thinking
half sand -- half gravel

get some bogwood, decor etc. to give the bichir some hiding spots on one side.
what plants do u guys suggest for this kind of a setup.
I've not had much experience with plants so i dont wanna get into anything complicated, just the basics.

any suggestions?

thx

Usually can't go wrong with things like Java fern and Anubias nana etc for tying onto your bog wood. Look nice and are pretty sturdy (survive my goldfish more or less) :)

k thx,
ill look into that

any other suggestions for some plants for the background??

k i looked into these plants,
they seem perfect and easy to care for.

I also stummbled upon giant anubias which is said to grow in 14", and my tank will be 24"H so it seems good?

Will i need like a CO2 System or any kind of fertilizers for these kinds of plants? ?
