hello everyone,
i just put a sunburst platy in with a mickey mouse platy to see what happens and if i could get some new and unusually handsome fry how much longer until i can see if she is pregnant. i am super excited to see what happens.

The female could well be carrying sperm packets from earlier matings, so you will need to wait out a few fry drops before you can be reasonably assured that the fry are coming from the mixed genes. After that has happened, the first drop using the new male should only take about 30 days.
