Sick guppy

So today I just noticed a red thing coming out of my guppy’s stomach. I didn’t notice it yesterday and he wasn’t acting weird that I noticed. He is swimming today but seems skittish.

Possibly a prolapse intestine or just fish poop

It’s definitely not poop, It kinda looks like a hernia ?‍ But I don’t know how it could have happened. I will look up prolapsed intestine. Thank you

intestine sticking out of fish's butt. no cure. to prevent the problem, make sure fish has a varied diet with lots of plant matter and minimal dry food. don't breed related fish together.
