Should I Set Uo A Fry Tank ?

Ive got a 180l community tank with platys, swordtails, guppies, endlers, corys and khulli loaches in it.

Ive had a few smaller tanks in the past and the livebearers have always done very well, yet in the bigger tank, which i would have thought would offer fry more places to hide, they seem to dissappear not long after being born.

I had 10 - 15 guppy fry a couple of weeks ago which seemed to be doing very well, but seemed to vanish over night after a couple of weeks.

I wouldn't have thought any of my fish would pose that much of a threat? Although the platys are very big for their type.

I have a couple of fry in the tank at the moment (although one is getting quite big) and im considering moving them to a smaller tank which is currently empty, but if there is no real natural threat to them in the main tank I'd rather leave them in there.

It never hurts to put fry in their own tank. That way you can do daily water changes and this helps them grew faster.
