. I don't know what I'd do if in your place. I'd really want to keep her (because she's stunning

) but would want what's best for the fish. Definitely a very hard decision. I'm going to vote.

I was in a similar predicament with my female convict. She doesn't even take catfish well in her tank. Ultimately I had to move her to a 20 gallon hex, which although is a bit small for her, she's fine in. I've been working on getting her a 20 gallon long, and already picked up a potential mate which is growing out in the main tank.

I had big plans for a community tank for my hexagon at first, but I couldn't stand the thought of giving her up.

I'd say keeping her in the 10 gallon and getting her a mate once you find a more suitable tank would be a great idea.

Oh me too...Any animal we bring home is our family, fish or other they all have names. My poor broken finned platy had my heart from the beginning. Stop feeding your crazy Jewel power food...I say bread and water for a week!

Join up on Freecycle if you have one that covers your neck of the woods. Craigslist is good too, check out the Goodwill or Salvation Army, ask all your friends. If you were close I'd give you my 15g long tank until you found something bigger, plus I have spare everything to loan. Surely there are those with the same that are close!
