My h.psittacus came today safely. This is such a cool looking fish and tough. I just added her to the 100 gal after doing some spring cleaning to the tank. I took out all the tetras too so I have less bio load.

Nip the severum and Kiwi the h.psittacus are working out who is boss. No big fights just lots of showing off. They are both the same size almost 4". Here are some photos she needs to settle in and I will try and get some more. She is not as shy as I thought she would be.

SO the stock for the 100 Gal is. AS the fish grow I might have to sell someone Or move them around but I have a year or more till that time comes I hope. I'm done buying for for a while. I hope these guys work out their issues.

They have just received a group of these and a group of uaru fernandezyepezi,wild caughts....but they want 60pounds each,cant stretch that far,shame there both stunning

Thanks guys. I have always wanted one but never thought it would happen. My Fav fish importer got some 3" and 5" in the. 3" are $30 with shipping it was $42. Not bad so I got one. I have seen them go for $100 so I feel I got a good deal. I think they are becomeing more common here. They seem to be making a come back and people are haveing good luck spawning them now that more in known about them.

Right now my Green severum NIp is making me mad. She seems to really hate Kiwi and for no reason. I have never seen Nip act like this before. She normaly is very laid back. I'm keeping an eye on them. I might have to Give nip a time out. The others have no problem with the new guy. Nip better get over herself soon.

Some times when I look at her she reminds me of an oscar.

NO Nip got pushed around my Sparkel the EBJD. I moved some stuff around but one area stayed the same. I take everything out and cleaned it then put back in. I think they will sort it all out in a day I hope. Nip normaly is a good girl and stays out of trouble. Now Sparkel is trying to keep the peace. MY little Red severum (Mr pink) he does not have a care in the world he is being really good but he is the smallest.

That tank is sweet. That parrot is great are thoes panda Uarus?

god you 2 between you have got me salivating bigtime!!! the tru parrot and uaru fernandezyepezi are 2 fish i have been drooling over at wildwoods for ages now but the price has put me off .

I think give it some time and the price will come down once more people start good breeding projects. I think the parrot price have come down some already. I never thought I would get a true parrot but I got lucky.

Your Kiwi looks great. How big do they get?

Thanks . These guys are Big like Oscar big. I have heard of some getting 16". But most are around 10-13". Mine is 4" right now it should take about 13 months for her to get 10". I might need a larger tank . I can't wait till she colors up more. She should get a really nice green blue.

Fast grower then and a good excuse for a large tank
I love the face on this guy, if you cover the fishes body so you can only see his face he looks like a frog.

Hehe They do have a parrot face. That's why I named her kiwi after my parrot I had to give away when I had my baby.

Things are better in the tank. I went to check on them today and saw all 4 hanging out together no problem. Kiwi has been out more and does not seem stressed. The severum still a little bit of a jerk but it's not that bad. I moved everything around tonight in hope that this will help them. Things are getting better so it should be fine. But I have room in my other tank to move anyone if I have to.
