Several Different Fish Died Over Time - Something Fishy With My Tank

That's good news, just keep an eye on the neons.
Good luck.

Hi wilder, Neons all seem Ok at the minute, how long would it take for NTD to take hold?

Depends mine took a while.
Are they still faded in the red area.

Nope, there red is just a little bit less than the cardinals...? Good sign then?

Yes bless them, if the colours coming back good news, but I would still keep a very close eye on them.

So to summarise, the issues with the fish dying *seem* to have something common,

Loss of activity/lethargic
Stringy white poo
Rapid 'gasping' gill/mouth movement
Lack of appetite

Please help!

I think I may have found the problem, the above are all symptoms of CO2 poisoning, my test kit has now been proved to be at fault which means my CO2 levels have been at approx 75ppm for ages. How I really found out was when I had a slight cut on my finger and was cleaning the tank, every time my cut would come into contact it felt like I got a large electric shock!! Test kit from LFS confirms massive problems, no wonder I've been losing fish!

Large water change, aireation over night and a new kit / reduced CO2 - very happy fishes, now I can ensure that fishies are kept this way!

Any comments would be great!
