Cheers mate. It does look better in the flesh. Camera doesn't pick up much. Prawns are a good idea, will have to try them.
Regarding the Guppy breeding, I think it's an ok idea. So long as the Guppies are from a clean source and won't carry disease.

Got offered a 15x3x3ft tank the other day from an old friend who lives in kent, they just moved and this tank was abandoned. (Big house i guess! lol). They're gona try and sell and then chuck it if they can't.

Yeah apparantly they keep getting people in there asking if the shop wants to take their old equip that they aren't using. Got talking to him about wat they are doing with the old goldfish 'ponds' and he just mentioned they keep getting people in trying to give away tanks and stuff. Can't harm!

HAHA! You might be right but i think I saw sand so I don't think it's that bad. They just put the rock in and I can't work out if it's live yet... nothing growing so far. We'll see I suppose. (frozen prawns from Lidl used to be cheap and without additives... havnt looked for a while, mine were from co-op)

How is the Senegal growing?

Not bad. Been feeding it everyday, but those Hoplos are very greedy and quick.

As you can see from the pics, it's a lot more confident.

Nice, looks as though it's starting to fatten up a bit...I have to chuck at least 6 prawns in before my senegal gets anything since the syno's, oscar, and one of the parrot cichlids all race to get there first.
