Schooling fish

ok to narrow this down some.. any schoolers that angels wont eat ! ?

Angels are pretty slow and don't really chase after anything that can move faster than them and that is almost anything unless it is half the size of a very small guppy which probably won't be fast enough for them. but just to be on the safe side if you get some fish that could fit in an angels mouth. feed the angels before you put them in. so just look for the best schooler of your choice.

You want to stick with larger bodied fish. Tetras like black/white skirts, congos, serpaes (need at least 6 or they can get nippy), pristellas, etc are fine. Stay away from neons and cardinals. They are too slim. They will be fine while the angels are small but eventually, the angels will eat them.

Cory cats. They stay on the bottom most of the time, out of the angels' way, and they are great schooling bottom dwellers- they will all group, no matter what species, into a large "herd". they are active, great scavengers, and very hardy. Just make sure you drop in some food for them before the lights go out.

Serpaes are reddish-orange (sounds like a cop-out answer but that really is how I see them and I have 6). They are really pretty. As for the ghost shrimp, I've never tried them in the tank with my angels but there is a chance they would try to eat them (if they can catch them), especially when they mold and are the most vulnerable.

In reading through this, I never saw the tank size these fish would be going into, or a full list of fish, other than there were angels in here...This would be useful for helping you pick fish so your tank doesn't get over stocked and so all your fish are compatable.

I would be cautious of serpaes just because they are such well known nippers. I have 13 and they have only nipped eachother, but I have also never had anything with really long fins in the the tank with them.
