Some backstory: I have a 20 gal planted thank that has cycled for a month. As of right now I have 6 ghost shrimp (large) and 2 African dwarf frogs, An I have been wanting too add a school of fish for a while but I have not decided on any atp. But some ember tetras and chili rasboras have caught my attention. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should add, it is greatly appreciated.

Your choice of fish in part depends on the GH of your water. Your two choices require soft water. My dwarf frogs did not like sharing a tank with fish. They were stressed. So I gave them their own tank.

I will keep that as an open option, I was hoping the 20 gal long would let the fish have space to move around without bothering the ADF

There are a couple of issues with keeping frogs and shrimps in the same tank.

The first is food. ADFs are slow at finding food and can be out competed by fish. ADFs can starve when kept with fish unless they can be target fed. I once kept a betta with ADFs and had to put their food in a 'cave' with a frog sized entry to keep the betta out. (I used an upside down terracotta plant pot with a small section cut from the rim and a stone over the hole on the bottom of the pot). But I did once find the betta inside the pot and couldn't get back out. How he got in I've no idea.

Then there's medication. Should the fish ever get sick, medication can't be used in a tank with frogs as they are sensitive to just about everything.
