Sad And Relieved.......

I have offered all of my fish (culture) for sale for a give-away price on a local fish forum in order to refurbish and re-setup from scratch.... In a way, I'm relieved, but it is also a sad event..... (some of these cultures were started way back in 1995)

The first responder (of 4)... is coming to collect on Saturday..... It is a 3 hour drive from where he lives and he actually hired a truck and containers to collect.... I will not breed Guppies, Mollies, Platties, Swords and Convicts ever again...... I am aiming at Corys, BN's Angels, Kribs, Rams and the likes.....

Better market for those and (slightly) more difficult to breed (so locals will not buy from me to compete with me) and also affords me the opportunity to repaint my stands and breeding tanks.... (esp trying to do it snail free).... The only breeders I'm keeping for the interim is my (newly acquired) BN's, My Corrys and some Spanner barbs for breeding.... The lowest level I've been at in at least 30 years.... I'm looking forward to the new challenges......

sad to let them go ludwig , but also exciting at the start of a new chapter which brings new challenges and rewards. i think sometimes its good to do this in thew hobby as it can really re-ignite the interest and enthusiasm . good luck with the new venture

Pencilfish!!!!!.... You mean Pencilfish are bred in captivity..... I'll have to look at availabilities?

At least you can say you were successful and you enjoyed spending your time with Guppies, Mollies and what not. Good luck with your upcoming projects, it would will be nice to see some photos!
